The Termux Monorepo is designed as a microservices-style system that runs natively inside Termux on Android. It orchestrates AI-powered development workflows through six specialized components that share a common runtime environment and coordinate via the filesystem, environment variables, and JSON indices. The primary operator surface is Android/Termux, while Linux servers and cloud CI provide secondary support for validation and remote execution.

Platform and runtime

The monorepo targets Termux on Android as its primary platform. Python 3 serves as the dominant runtime, with selective use of Node.js for MCP servers, Bash for automation scripts, and Rust for performance-critical modules. All components operate within the Termux filesystem and rely on standard Unix tooling available through pkg.

Core components

The monorepo contains six interdependent components, each responsible for a distinct layer of the automation stack.

DeepSeek API integration

The monorepo integrates with the DeepSeek API through multiple entry points. DeepCLI (deepcli.py) provides the primary interactive interface, while deepapi.py and deepseek_proxy.py support programmatic and proxied access. The --thinking flag enables reasoning mode on supported models. Conversation history, branching, and exports flow through CLI Synthegration into the session archive (synthegration_exports/), which currently holds 3,281 exported sessions.

ICM and system mapping

The Interpretable Context Methodology (ICM) system map lives in docs/icm/CLAUDE.md and defines how context is structured, traced, and validated across the monorepo. Central Mapper builds the concrete indices (llm_index.jsonl, func_index.jsonl, file_graph.json, deps.jsonl) that make the ICM actionable. Together, they let you query the codebase by symbol, dependency, or task relationship rather than by filename alone.

Operator posture

You operate the monorepo from an Android device running Termux. Local commands like archaeo, oracle, and dispatch run in this environment. CI gates (repo_gate.py, termux_smoke.py) validate changes before merge, and GitHub Actions can trigger DeepCLI workflows on pull request events. Cloud and Linux surfaces exist for remote validation, but the authoritative runtime remains the Termux shell on your device.
